Match H2′s from your homepage (or main category) to H1′s on the pages (or subcategories) they link to. Be smart and stay consistent; too many keyword variations can result in spreading yourself too thin. Focus is crucial. First, you should have your primary keywords unless your brand is so strong your site can rank without it. Second, construct concise marketing copy (2-3 words, ideally) that makes users want to click your site over the others. Last, never forget to respect recommended search engine title lengths in order to avoid the dreaded ellipsis (…).
